About Ruth Landstrom, J.D., PH.D.

Ruth is a clinical psychologist in private practice in New York City. She earned a B.A. in music from Yale University, a J.D. from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Adelphi University. As a lawyer, she worked both in government and on Wall Street. As a psychologist, she worked for six years at an outpatient clinic in the Bronx before opening her own practice in Manhattan in 2000.

In recent years, Ruth has started to integrate both mindfulness (vipassana) meditation and coaching into her life and work. Both of these disciplines complement psychotherapy by providing practical, step-by-step practices for learning how to live our lives to the fullest.
